eSefarad: Noticias del Mundo Sefaradí is a non-profit project created by Liliana and Marcelo Benveniste from Buenos Aires, Argentina. It started in December 2008 to provide a hub of information regarding the Jewish-Spanish culture that disseminates news, events, articles, activities, customs, and history exclusively on Sephardic themes.

It’s made up of the annual conference cycle RAÍCES DE SEFARAD, a Ladino/Judeo-Spanish seminar “Savor de Ladino,” the eSefarad.com portal, the eSefarad Weekly Bulletin with a free subscription that is sent by e-mail, a weekly radio program Magacin Sefaradí on Radio Sefarad (online) in Spain and Radio Jai in Argentina on Sundays at 1 pm; an online TV channel “eSefaradTV” where different activities related to the Sephardic world are broadcast live to the whole world, as well as the repetition of its own and third-party productions.

On January 21, 2018, eSefarad directors Marcelo and Liliana Benveniste were honored in Israel with the “Medal of the 4 Synagogues of Jerusalem” for their work in pursuit of Sephardic culture in all its aspects. In January 2023, Liliana Benveniste received the “Order of the Knights of Ladino” in honor of the fifth president (first of Sephardi origin) of Israel, Yitzhak Navon, awarded by the Sentro Gaon de Kultura Djudeo-Espanyola (Gaon Centre for Judeo-Spanish Culture) at the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev for her contributions in literary, music and as an educator for preserving Ladino and Sephardic culture.
