David R. Franco
October 28, 1921 ~ January 13, 2014
Dave was born and raised in Seattle, and attended Garfield High School. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, and served in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war, Dave moved to Wenatchee where he met the love of his life, Theone. They later moved to Bellevue where he spent the last 50 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Theone, and daughter Tamra Holmberg. He is survived by his daughter Marie, son-in-law, Lenny Dayberry, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Dave was a member of the American Legion, the Ezra Bessaroth Synagogue and the Seattle Sephardic community. He enjoyed a career in the insurance industry, remaining active as a consultant and mentor into his retirement. He is a past president of Glendale Country Club in Bellevue, WA where he followed his passion for golf.
He loved sports, spending time with friends and family, and was always the life of the party. He will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor, his kindness and generosity.
