Lucy (Hasson) HALELA Lucy passed away peacefully on Sunday at age 85. She was widowed in 2007 after sixty years of marriage to Leon Halela. Lucy graduated from Garfield High School, and retired from NOAA's Seattle office to enjoy many more active years. She was a member of Sephardic Bikur Holim synagoge. Lucy was the loving mother of Marcie Maxwell (late Steve Maxwell) and Sally Halela (Chris Rivera), and proud grandmother of Denise (Paul), Mike, Kaeli, and Nick. She is also survived by her close extended family and friends. Funeral service is Tuesday, September 14th, 11am, at the Seattle Sephardic Brotherhood Cemetery Chapel. Memorial donations suggested to the Kline Galland Center.
