Joe M. Hasson

Joseph Morris Hasson, beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully Sunday morning. Born to Sara and Morris Hasson on July 29th1919, “Joe” and his seven siblings grew up in Seattle. He married his beautiful wife Sara in 1942, and they spent 56 wonderful years together. Joe is survived by his children, Moe (Fran), Larry, (Marilyn, Jody and Craig), Shelley Sigrist (Nick), sister Laura Rousso and brother Albert Hasson (Betty), and his granddaughter Sara. Joe enjoyed every day of his ninety years and lived each day to its fullest. His warm smile and twinkle in his eyes, his caring nature, and his wonderful sense of humor made him a treasure to all who knew him. His positive attitude was contagious and for that we are all grateful! Joe’s grocery store in Georgetown and many rental properties kept him busy for 35 years. He was often referred to as, “the honorary Mayor of Georgetown”. He retired in l980 and enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Caroline Klein Galland Home, 7500 Seward Park Avenue South, Seattle, WA. 98118.
Eulogy for Joe M. Hasson

What a great man, so fun, so energetic, so embracing……. Auntie Laurie best described Joe at mom and dad’s fiftieth wedding anniversary party, she said he’s just “our good old Joe” and he truly was, he was always willing to help, whether it was delivering groceries to his mom and dad on his way home from the store, or unplugging a kitchen sink for one of his nephews, Joe eit There was nothing my dad couldn’t fix, even if he needed a little assistance, he always got the job done. In the year 2000 My dad met a wonderful dance partner and companion who spend 8 years together traveling and dancing 3 days a week until he moved to Klein Galland In 2008. They continued to speak on the phone regularly after she moved to Olympia to be by her children. We all appreciate what she did for our Dad during those years and want express our thanks for everything.
