Obituary in Seattle Times

Ralph J. Eskenazi
Funeral was held at the Seattle Sephardic Cemetery 1984.

Letter from care taker at the Klein Galland Home.

Rabbi Greenberg said it very well "That for every person that Jack knew each one was a special friend to him".
I want you all to know how we felt about Ralph Eskenazi at the Klein Galland Home.
Ralph entered the home just a short few months ago. The residents were each his special friend or his sweetheart or his boyfriend.
The love within his “Sephardism companieros were very special. That made me feel good!
Whenever a discussion arose regarding marriage he’d reminisce and most always with a tear in his eye would say "I had a wonderful wife. Each year with Emily was beautiful".
The love for his family was unconditional. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of his life.

Ralph's appreciation of life was very apparent to the staff and residents at this home.
He wanted everyone to know how much he appreciated living here.
He'd say "They take good care of me".
I've made good friends and the food is plentiful and delicious. Thank God!
"If I would only be able to let people know how wonderful it is here".
I suggested that I would write whatever he felt in his heart. With pen in hand I write his words and it started with this sentence. "They treat me like a king!"
You all knew Ralph Eskenazi and his positive attitude. He always appreciated whatever.
As the mayor of Third Avenue he received on his last birthday a 3-ft long box of flowers from his admirers of 3rd Avenue.
Would you have doubted it if I had predicted that given just a little more time, he would have easily earned the title of Mayor of Klein Galland Home.
We will miss you Ralph Eskenazi!!
